CS Thompson is a poet, writer and historical fencing instructor. He is the author of the Noctiviganti series of dark fantasy novels, and his collections of poetry include Ghost Shadows from Wildside Press and City at the Edge of Night. In addition, he has written two books on the art of the Highland Broadsword including Lannaireachd: Gaelic Swordsmanship and Highland Knife Fighting. CS Thompson lives with his wife Cicely in Portland, Maine.

Lani K. Thompson is a composer, writer, and musician. She is the author of three kantele music books and the dark fantasy novel, The Red Dance which is available from Brass Window Books. She also researches ingredient and product information for vegetarians and for people with celiac disease. Between 1987 - 1999 she owned and edited two weekly newspapers serving Western Maine.
